Scituate Community Christmas provides assistance not only at Christmas, but 365 days a year through our direct assistance programming.
Here's a snapshot of what we’ve accomplished together:
Through our Acts of Kindness program, we had the privilege of walking alongside families during some of their most difficult moments—supporting a young family after a serious injury affected their income, helping cover funeral expenses for a grieving family, and easing the burden for parents whose child is hospitalized in critical condition.
We assisted an elderly resident who was behind several months on their basic utilities ensuring they have access to heat in the coming months.
We helped a young family transition from a homeless shelter into a new home, supplying clothing, furniture, toys and household necessities.
We assisted a recent Scituate graduate with the cost of required college textbooks.
We provided essentials for U.S. veterans.
We helped a single mother who was behind on her rent, allowing her and her children to remain in their home.
We assisted a small business owner after a devastating fire.
We helped a young family make their mortgage payment after a much-needed surgery temporarily reduced the husband’s work hours.
We assisted with daycare expenses for a family facing a sudden illness, allowing them to focus on recovery and well-being.
Your support fuels our mission and ensures we can respond quickly and compassionately to friends and neighbors in need.
In moments like these—when assistance isn’t available or arrives too late—SCC serves as a vital bridge for our neighbors experiencing temporary hardship. Your generosity makes these acts of compassion a reality.
Thank you for helping us lift up our friends and neighbors!
Some touching thank you’s we’ve received
“We are so thankful to live in a community where kindness and love are met with such meaningful giving.”
“You have shown our family that even when tides are rough, that your community can show up in an unexpected way to help ride out the storm.”
To help support SANDS and SCC, please consider donating emergency supplies found on our Amazon wishlist. Having essentials like clothing and toiletries readily on hand ensures we can respond swiftly in the moment of crisis.
We could not do this important work without your continued generosity and support. Thank you for being part of our story and supporting those friends and neighbors facing hardship.
