The Hatherly School Student Government held a fundraiser this past December. They raised a total of $117.50 by selling "candygrams" for .25 each. They spent their lunch times and all spare time preparing the candygrams. A special thank you to the homeroom representatives for their part in making the fundraiser a success.

At the conclusion of the fundraiser, a vote was taken to decide what organization should receive the proceeds. Scituate Community Christmas was the beneficiary of their hard work.

After weeks of planning, Olivia Higgins (13) and Samantha Murphy (13) of Scituate gathered friends and family to temporarily transform a local barn into a frightening haunted house.

Acting as both set up crew and cast, Scituate residents Juliet O'Malley, Laura Green, Abby Clark, Drew Higgins, Matt Murphy, Elissa Dukeshire, Casey White, Tess Malerbi, Rachel O'Donoghue, Megan McLoud, Emma Finnegan, Liam Higgins, Marlaina Reidy, Bridget Vazza, Molly Benson, Gretta Barry and Paige DiNatale, contributed time, materials and creativity, to the spooky event which was held in the evening on October 24 to the delight of neighborhood children of all ages!

Patrons donated over $250, which Higgins, Murphy and their friends decided to present as a gift to Susan Phippen and Bill Limbacher for the benefit of Scituate Community Christmas.
